Chester Hawkins sat down for an online interview atop his new home in Baltimore to discuss pandemics, cicadas, and making music. Hawkins is responsible for a track on our upcoming compilation, Tymbal. For Tymbal, participating artists were limited to using only a sample set of Brood X cicada field recordings made by Noel Mueller and Beau Finley.
